Introduction

The aftermarket car wheel market is flooded with tons of options at different price points. Previously, we covered the best aftermarket wheels under $1500 on the market. However, we know that some enthusiasts are willing to spend a little more money or want something higher quality. We have compiled some of the best aftermarket wheels on the market for you to consider to elevate your car to the next level!

Why Buy Aftermarket Car Wheels?

Aftermarket car wheels are one of the best modifications you can do to your vehicle. Truthfully, this modification is my favorite one of all. Changing your vehicle’s wheels provides an appearance improvement, and sometimes a performance boost. How will you choose your vehicle’s new shoes? Will you purchase the lightweight, race-focused wheels? Or are you going to enhance the exterior to turn heads at the next meet?

#1 Weld Racing Ventura

If you have been anywhere near the drag racing community, you know that Weld is a common name amongst builds. The Weld Racing Ventura wheels are a classic five-spoke design, fitting almost any car. These are some of the best aftermarket wheels for drag racing cars because of the durable rotary-forged construction and timeless design. Coupled with some high performance mods, you’ll have a car ready for the quarter mile both speed and looks wise! Fortunately, the price is right with Weld’s Ventura wheels! These wheels come in between $375 to $400 per wheel, bringing them well under $2500 per set!

Personally, I own these wheels on my Chevy chevelle. If you’d like to read my review about the Venturas, visit the article here!

#2 Advan Racing RGIII

Advan Racing RGIII wheels are a tuner car classic. A veteran in the aftermarket wheel world, Advan Racing is geared towards track car performance. The RGIII wheels weigh between 18-21 pounds, which is perfect for enthusiasts trying to keep rotational mass low! Despite the higher price point, the Advan wheels are still attainable. Expect to pay between $550-$600 per wheel.

#3 Gram Lights 57DR

This choice is a personal favorite of mine. The Gram Lights 57DR have a great six spoke style that will fit almost any car. For me, the greatest part of this aftermarket wheel is that insane gunmetal blue finish! Depending on the wheel specs, this wheel will set you back around $2200 for a set of four.

#4 Enkei GTCO1RR

The Enkei GTC01RR is a race-inspired car wheel geared for the track enthusiast. Enkei designed this wheel to maintain a low mass like the RPF1, but increase its strength to support aggressive driving. One of my favorite features of this wheel is the dual valve stem setup. This setup allows you to monitor your tire pressure while inflating or deflating it! Overall, this is a great aftermarket wheel for the street and track!

#5 Work Emotion CR Kiwami

One of my favorite car wheel designs ever comes from the Work Emotion CR Kiwami. Before I bought my Enkei NT03s, I heavily considered these for my Focus ST. The split spokes, lightweight design, and awesome finishes were enticing. Work has been in the game for a long time and for good reason. Their car wheels are constantly backordered due to high demand as their wheel quality is insane. With an attainable price point regardless of size and width, the Work Emotion CR Kiwami wheels are a great aftermarket wheel option for your build!

Conclusion

The best aftermarket wheels on the market consists of high durability, plenty of size and width options, and brilliant finishes. Frequently Asked Questions

#1 Are Rep Wheels Bad?

In the car game, you’ll hear people talk trash about “rep wheels”. Now, back in 2007 when you had XXRs splitting after hitting small bumps, rep wheels did not have the best reputation. Fast forward to today, manufacturing of aftermarket wheels have improved. You can safely purchase wheels like XXRs and Rotas and they are more than viable for your car. Also, be cautious of what people refer to as “rep wheels”. Companies like Enkei that manufacture OEM wheels are never replicas, but that is just my opinion.

#2 Does The Type Of Manufacturing Process Matter?

Yes and no. It depends on your application. If you are going to build a track car and need durability, you may want to look at a flow formed or rotary forged wheel rather than a simple cast wheel. For day-to-day driving, a simple cast wheel will be enough.

#3 How Do I Pick The Right Size?

Fortunately, we have another article that answers this very question! Head on over to our wheel fitment guide here!

#4 What Is Wheel Offset?

Wheel offset is the measurement from the wheel’s hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel. Offsets are split into either a positive, negative, or zero offset. A positive offset places the wheel closer to the suspension and brake components. In contrast, a negative offset will push the wheel outwards towards or past the fender. For reference, deep dish wheels or wheels designed for lifted trucks are usually negative offset.
