Introduction
Car Week is a car culture icon of epic proportions. Every year, car enthusiasts around the world come together and celebrate timeless classic, the future of performance, and automotive masterpieces. This week is jam-packed with car events anyone can appreciate. If racing is your vibe, the Rolex Motorsports Reunion taking place is your destination. For those of you wanting to see the up-and-coming performance cars, car manufacturers are unveiling their latest and greatest all along the coast. Come along with me and find out why this fantastic automotive event is so legendary.

Car Week Brings Legendary Cars Right To You
If you are a lover of exotic supercars, Car Week is perfect for you. Amazing machines are released from their cages (garages and storage facilities) and unleashed upon the populace. Take a cruise down the coast or through cities like Carmel, and you will inevitably spot supercars from multiple eras and manufacturers. The owners of these fantastic cars provide you with the sights and sounds of cars some of us only have experienced in racing simulators like Gran Turismo.
When I was leaving Laguna Seca, this Lamborghini Countach immediately caught my eye. A car so iconic that I used to have Hot Wheels version of was right before my eyes! The feeling you get seeing these cars truly makes you feel like a kid who just discovered their love for cars. If you need inspiration for figuring out your dream 3 car garage , you’ll find it here at Car Week.

Racing Fans Are Prioritized
Laguna Seca is a special race track, beloved by racing fans worldwide. If you have never experienced Laguna Seca, you are truly missing out on a pure racing experience. This was my third time going to the Rolex Motorsports Reunion and it never disappoints! During car week, there are racing trials, practice runs, and showcases almost every day. Additionally, you have the option to attend the less crowded Pre-Reunion.
Every year I have gone, I have attended the Pre-Reunion to experience the automotive spectacle with a smaller crowd. The paddock is open to all of the fans, so you can get up close and personal with these historic machines. This event has eras of racing from the original Formula 1 cars all the way to modern sports cars.

Which Racing Series Is My Favorite?
My personal favorite race is the Trans-Am series cars as I love the idea of roaring American V8s ripping down a track in a well-handling classic car. The style of modifications these cars have inspired the direction I am going with for my 1966 Chevelle. During this series, there is an AMC Javelin that I can absolutely look at for hours and enjoy every second of it. The Red, White, and Blue livery, the unique body lines, and the history of the Javelin is absolutely incredible. Whatever racing era you prefer, you will surely be able to get up close and personal with some of your favorite cars.

Enjoy Pieces Of Automotive History
There’s something to be said about the time and care taken into maintaining some of these beautiful automobiles. The owners, racing teams, and collectors meticulously keep these machines in top shape to keep them running around the track or allow them to be enjoyed by the masses. What I love about Car Week is there aren’t many garage queens here. The cars here have stories and have been able to experience the open road, rather than stare at a garage door their entire life.
One thing I cannot stand to see are cars that aren’t driven or enjoyed. It absolutely defeats the purpose of their creation. Automotive manufacturers built these cars to dominate on tarmac, not just sit and fend off dust. I love seeing these cars, especially the racing series cars, have wear and tear because it shows these aren’t just brought out for the events. Car enthusiasts love the feeling of being behind the wheel and taking in the driving experience, so kudos to these owners that have the passion to do so even with the most valuable of cars.

Car Week Is Good For The Culture
If there is one thing I can leave you with, is that car week is a phenomenal event for car culture. You have enthusiasts from all over the world coming to experience our shared interest. An event like this inspires those to build, to create, to drive, or to begin their passion for automobiles. One car can change a person’s perspective on automobiles.
With the sheer variety and volume of cars in a beautiful venue, its damn near impossible to not fall deep (or deeper) in love with cars. Some of the best roads California has to offer are in this area and there are plenty of car lovers here to drive these roads with. I encourage you to go to Car Week next year. Go with friends, find a club, or just go solo and find out why this is one of the great automotive spectacles in the world.
Conclusion
Car Week is America’s love letter to all things automotive. Collectors, enthusiasts, and manufacturers come together as one automobile conglomerate. Together, we bring the most iconic supercars, classic cars, and the future of cars to be loved and appreciated by all. Any car enthusiast, whether it be a JDM lover or a vintage Euro fan, needs to go to this event. The traffic, the hotel rates, and the time to travel is absolutely worth it as you’ll continuously be blown away by what cars you will find along California’s coastline.
